Monitoring hate speech against LGBTIQ+ [2021]

QueeRadar released its media monitoring covering the year 2021. The purpose of monitoring is to identify discriminatory statements based on sexual orientation and gender identity; to analyze and document the use of incorrect vocabulary and manifestations of hate speech in relation to various social groups.

During 2021, 501 materials from 23 media organizations were revealed using the internet search system. The results show that LGBTIQ + coverage in the local press is sensationalized, the people are portrayed in a derogatory context, or LGBTIQ + human rights are completely ignored by journalists. According to our research, 62.5% of media coverage was biased in 2021.
